Volvo S40-S80 for a first car, yay or nay?

So, i’m trying to look for a good first car. I’ve looked at a few, We’re looking at a ford fusion, a nissan altima and maybe some sort of honda.

However, I was wondering, would a volvo S40-S80 make a good first car? I’m really looking for an S80 since it’s a bigger sedan, and I can’t drive little cars. What are your opinions?
As far as models go, it’d would be like an early 2000ish one. up to 04 at most, since that’s about where are price range hits.

      As long as it’s an older model, you’ll be fine.

        yes, its a very safe and reliable car, especially in those models. they are a bit pricey as well tho. they have good maintenance records, excellent safety, and so-so performance, i personally dont like the exterior but thats just a personal opinion. hope that helps.
